James E. Ford graduated from Ritenour Senior High in Breckenridge Hills, St. Louis County, Missouri class of 1971. Having a desire learn more about politics and the laws that govern this land, James then pursued his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, graduating with same at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1975. Armed with a better understanding of the political and legal system, James E  Ford decided to pursue a law degree at Washington University in St. Louis. James then graduated in 1978 with his Juris Doctorate.
